So I had a shoot last Saturday, September 6th (I know I'm a little late in posting this) with a photographer called Ian-X. I've worked with him once before and I have a lot of photos from our first shoot uploaded here (such as the one on my home page). But this shoot wasn't just with Ian, we were shooting with 3 other models as well. This was my first four model shoot and I like the results. The other models, Claret, Caracal and Maudlin were great to work with and had lovely personalities that they brought to each set.
During this shoot we did three sets (with all four of us together). The first one was a bright lingerie set against a black backdrop and we were all sitting on top of a mirrored table. Once we were all positioned just right the shoot was a breeze, but there was a little bit of awkwardness at first with me standing so high above the rest of them in my crazy heels, just hoping I wouldn't crush anyone's fingers haha. Ian did some solo shots of each of us and a few with all of us together and as soon and I have all of the photos I'll upload them for all to see, I"m sure they'll be enjoyed. This set was a lot of fun but I'd have to say our second set was the most fun, we were all Pirates. So after we cleaned the makeup off of our faces from the lingerie set we got to work on making ourselves look ridiculously grungy. I gave myself a black eye and dressed in some black and white striped stockings a long white vest that hangs open, a crazy eyepatch and some knee length combat boots. I was the poor soul whose job it was to gaurd the treasure chest so I'm clinging to that thing for dear life as Caracal (the violent angry pirate) is teasing and threatening me with a knife and the other two are just hanging around in the back, snuggling together and watching us. It was tons of fun and probably the longest set.
Our third and final set was the strangest of them all. It was originally supposed to be a white nudes set but we wound up looking like creatures from a sci fi movie.  It took nearly an hour for us to do our make up alone. We had to look very white and ghostly, so it didn't take me long because my skin is already super pale but the others had much darker skin from tanning and it took them quite some time to get it just right. So when we were all done with our make up we started shooting. We didn't even really have to pose, we stood there, looking quite emotionless with very deadpan expressions on our faces and very stiff/unnatural posture, I was very pleased with the results from this set, they look otherworldly and ethereal. Hopefully they are enjoyed by others as well.
When were done shooting Ian treated the models to dinner, we went out to a Sal's Italian Restuarnt in Lawrence, MA. I ordered some delicious Eggplant Parmesean and when we finished with our meals, we made our way home....that meant a two hour drive for Adam and I. So All in all it was a great shoot with Ian and I can't wait for our next one.
